I’ve passed this place many times and often thought it would be a good place to visit. Opportunity arose as we were passing on the Llangollen Canal in our narrow boats. We booked in advance and were greeted by the super friendly staff and shown to our table. Nothing was to much trouble and the food cam out timely, on warm plates, and piping hot. A great feed for Easter Sunday. Luckily we will pass here in about a weeks time and will naturally be paying another visit.

3 of us Enjoyed a fantastic meal today, food was stunning, fresh, very very tasty and good sized portions. Always love popping in for a quick pint as they pour me my perfect pint every time. Thanks for another great visit

Traditional pub with great views. Staff were really friendly and welcoming after a long day canal boating. Got to sample some great local beers and the food was great. Worth the walk down from the canal moorings 👍

Excellent Sunday lunch, plenty of meat and vegetables, roast potatoes and mash are beautifully cooked. Had a few Sunday lunches here and have never been disappointed. Service is excellent and there is always a friendly welcome. The Sunday lunch is always boiling hot which is how we like it. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

A pub with good beer that sells great food rather than a chain restaurant pub that sells lacklustre beer. Spitting distance to the canal, great atmosphere and lovely staff. A fantastic view of the Chirk aqueduct from the sun terrace at the end of a day's cruising. Much more character and authenticity than the other pub that's nearby. Quiz on Wednesdays, curry night on Thursdays, pool table and friendly locals. Highly recommended!
